Former Black Stars, AC Milan and Inter Milan midfielder, Sulley Ali Muntari, has joined Spanish La Liga side, Deportivo La Coruna, on a free transfer.
The deal was confirmed by the club a few moments ago after the player completed his two-week trial.
He was brought in Deportivo coach, Clarence Seedorf, who was his team mate at AC Milan.
Muntari’s deal with the club runs until the end of the season and he is expected to provide experience to save the team from relegation.
Deportivo are currently 19th on the La Liga table with 17 points and they face Espanyol on Friday in the Spanish League.
Muntari won the UEFA Champions League with Inter Milan in 2010.
He played for Pescara in the Italian Serie A last season and he was the subject of racial abuse from fans of Cagliari during a league match.
He was yellow carded for complaining to the referee and the incident led to a larger conversation that involved FIFPro and other concerned parties.
