Award-winning actor John Dumelo claims it’s unnecessary to commemorate Ghana’s Independence celebration…according to him, ‘there is nothing to celebrate”.

“Pupils lie on their stomachs to study in Yikurugu, UER, teachers teach IT with no computers all over the country etc. Yet we budget millions to celebrate 6th March?” reads part of the message posted by Dumelo on Twitter on the occasion of Ghana’s 61st Independence Day.

Ghana is 61 years today after gaining independence on 6th March 1957.
