MyNewsgh reports that Kumasi-based gospel musician, Brother Sammy has broken his silence over reports he was slapped during a deliverance service with colleague female singer Cecilia Marfo.
Speculations were rife in the media that Cecilia Marfo delivered Brother Sammy from evil spirits on stage in Kumasi recently resulting in what many described as a slap being landed on his cheek.
But Kofi, known as the producer cum spokesperson of Brother Sammy debunked the false reports on Kumasi-based radio, Abusua Fm last Saturday.
It would be recalled that Cecilia Marfo, a gospel artiste and Prophetess staged a gospel concert at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi which got many people talking about due to an incident that happened between her and the singer, Brother Sammy.
In a viral video, Cecilia Marfo was captured taking off a necklace worn by Brother Sammy and strictly warned him to ‘desist from acts that are ungodly so God can use him for great works’.
Cecilia Marfo was as also seen landing a heavy slap during the deliverance.
But Kofi, the spokesperson for Brother Sammy says the reports are inaccurate and that the media did not treat his artiste fairly.
According to him, Cecilia Marfo only gave a prophecy to Brother Sammy and not a slap as reported.
“What I know is, Cecilia Marfo is now doing the work of God and through her work she has noted that, Brother Sammy is filled with the spirit of the lord that was why she decided to feature him on her show at the sports stadium. During her ministration, she called Brother Sammy to let him know what God has for him”. The spokesperson said.
“Next year 2018, God has chosen you ‘Sammy’ as prophet and evangelist, so make sure to lead a good life, pray without season, and work harder”. Sammy’s spokesman quoted Cecilia Marfo as saying.
Kofi further denied the fact that Cecilia Marfo knocked off the male artiste’s necklace saying “it wasn’t intentional, it happens very often to everyone”
